Born in the AKH, Vienna's central clinic, and raised in Vienna's then-seedy 2nd district, there was one thing Michel Attia knew even before graduating high school: that one day he would be a key player at his favourite radio station, FM4. And he wasn't shy to let everybody know it. During his studies of journalism and education science he produced his first radio features for the free radio station Orange 94.0 and for ORF medium wave radio 1476 and also started writing articles for music magazines Chelsea Chronicle and The Gap, the latter of which he was a founding member of (a bit later in his life he would even be part of legendary German music magazine Spex's team - for a whole day). At the same time he worked nights at Vienna's hottest music venue Flex and traveled as a tour manager with acts such as Wir Sind Helden and Jimi Tenor. And from 2001 – 2007 he was the youngest member (to this day) on the board of advisors of the SKE, a support programme for Austria's (pop) music scene. Eventually Michel did end up at radio FM4. As head of booking and events he plans and books the radio's events such as the legendary FM4 Radio Sessions, FM4 Surprise Concerts or the annual FM4 Birthday Party. On the side he is a trendscout and consultant for fashion and lifestyle brands. In 2010 he founded his own agency AAA Agentur Attia in Berlin, which was responsible for the entertainment and influencer marketing for adidas Originals and adidas NEO in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Other clients include Samsung, Deezer, Manner, Björn Borg and DC Shoes. In 2011 he curated the musical lineup for the 10 year anniversary of the fashion fair Bread & Butter Berlin. As if all this wasn't enough, he also co-owns a bar in Vienna's trendy 7th district, treubleiben Wien. On a whim, one day he issued an invitation to all musicians, producers, journalists and other players of the Vienna music scene and thus, in 2016 Michel's Musikstammtisch was born – a bi-monthly get-together dedicated to networking, getting to know each other and generally having a good time exchanging stories and tricks of the trade until the wee hours of the morning. Michel is also president of the Goldtimer association, an Oldtimer Club which, sadly, he has had to neglect due to his multiple other commitments. And to top it all off, Michel has been teaching workshops on Marketing in the Music Business at SAE Institute in Vienna since 2019.
