We are ZLYPNI, a music band from Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. ZLYPNI emerged from the fusion of unique musical energies of three friends. Our name – which loosely translates to “the ones who’ve stuck together” – reflects the organic bond and spontaneous chemistry we share on and off stage. For the past three years, we’ve been exploring the limitless possibilities of sound through collective improvisation and freedom from genre boundaries. Still, our sonic inspirations are rooted in indie, krautrock, grunge, proto-punk, art rock, and a hint of ethno.
Band Members • Ivanka – vocals, bass guitar, violin, ukulele, sopilka. A multi-instrumentalist and the band’s most musically literate member. Her delicate voice and complex melodic bass lines bring both depth and airiness. • Spider Petro – vocals, percussion, performance. A rhythm architect who shapes grooves out of anything, grounding the band’s experimental sound. • Danylo – vocals, guitar, performance. A sonic traveller who extracts psychedelic and grungy tones from the void, stirring both dance and trance.
