YUVI is one of the most prominent figures in the new wave of music that overcomes the careless Ukrainization of post-Soviet trends. The artist's music combines unconventional pop vocals, sensual lyrics, and viscous backing electronics. YUVI is neither underground nor mainstream, but rather a bridge of understanding between them.
Ulyana (real name) has been playing music since she was a little girl. After graduating from the saxophone class at the Glier Academy in Kyiv, she started writing songs to sell. Then she finally got to DJing and production, through which she began to broadcast her own emotions combined with lyrics. For several years, she posted her work directly on SoundCloud, becoming more and more visible in the electronic community.
Her songs were performed in the top clubs of Kyiv, Berlin, Warsaw, at the festivals “Dirty Dog”, “Brave Factory”, “Na Chasі”. In 2024, she was a mentor at the “Mirage Camp” and ”Na yy osnovi” music camps.
YUVI's debut EP “Po Tobi” was included in the lists of the best Ukrainian releases of 2023. It's sensual and uncompromising at the same time, imbued with bass-oriented British electronics. On April 19, the artist released her debut album “Spomyna Lyubovu".
